Originally born John Bannerman III in the year of the Virgo on August 23, 1982 in Baltimore, MD; John began to

get into music through his parents at the age of 10. Oldies but Goodies played in the background which would help fine tune his ears for music production and sampling. His older cousin Swanny, use to let John listen to all his old LL Cool J, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and Kool G Rap cassettes. John instantly became hooked and a future star was born.

The Baltimore native took his career seriously & went onto attend college at the Institute of Audio Research, where he obtained his associate’s degree in Music Engineering & Production. After graduation, the alias Johnny Barz was formed only to become Beltway, which is an ode to the 695 inner and outer loop that circles both Baltimore City & Baltimore County.  After creating his music production presence in the 695 loop and beyond,  Johnny Beltway caught the attention of Far Rockaway native Stack Bundles while working at Planet to Planet Recording Studios. During this time he finessed his skills to properly Produce, Mix & Master songs professionally. He went on to work with Stack Bundles, Riot Squad, N.O.E, Jim Jones, Bird Gang, M.O.P, Half-A-Mil, DJ Honda, & Chico Debarge. 

It wouldn’t be long until Stack wanted Beltway to be one of the In-house Producers for Riot Squad. Before the deal could come to fruition, sadly Stack Bundles was tragically taken from the world via homicide. Shortly after, Beltway moved back home to Baltimore where he currently lives now continuing to produce music for the mainstream, underground artists & now seeking to make his mark & name known in placements on TV, in movies & more. 

Johnny Beltway also has hosted numerous podcasts include   "The Pregame Radio Show" and is partner in clothing, "New Territory Apparel"  &  branding businesses as well. The future looks bright and his determination even brighter.
